Telecentre Europe and Open Evidence, are conducting the Study on the Impact of the Internet and Social Media on Youth Participation and Youth Work assigned by the European Commission Education.
We want to examine how Internet and social media influence young people’s political participation and active citizenship, as well as how those working with them (e.g. youth workers) can use Internet and social media based tools to engage young people, including disadvantaged groups.
We want to establish an inventory of youth initiatives/projects/activities, where young people are using the Internet and social media, including digital tools and apps for democratic participation, critical engagement in public life and social activism.
We would also like to capture capacity building initiatives that equip youth workers with the necessary skills and competences for this changing context.
If you are have or know of any such practice or initiative, we would like to hear from you. Please fill in this short survey (max 5 mins) by the 6th March.
What’s in it for you?
We will select 90 initiatives/project to explore further. Those 90 will be asked to provide more info through a longer survey. For filling in this longer survey you will receive 50 EUR per initiative/project.
Of course, we will share the results of the survey with you and your good practices may be featured in the Final Report of the study.
The practices may include policies or initiatives at EU, national, regional or local level and be established/implemented no longer than 3 years ago.
